How I Work: Treatment Approaches

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): helps identify and shift thought patterns that drive anxiety, depression, and unhelpful behaviors.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): builds skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy relationships.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy: explores how past experiences shape present-day patterns.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: focuses on identifying and building toward practical solutions.
  • Motivational Interviewing: helps you find your own motivation and readiness for change.
  • Conflict Resolution Therapy: builds skills for navigating and resolving relationship conflict.
  • Trauma Therapy: approaches suited to processing traumatic experiences safely, at your pace.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore the patterns, behaviors, and emotions that might be holding you back. Together, we’ll work to build insight, develop skills, and strengthen your resilience — helping you move forward with confidence, balance, and a renewed sense of self.

Background & Experience

Education: Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Social Worker from Union University

Professional experience: I have been practicing therapy for over 4 years and have been a therapist providing addiction focus therapy with a suboxone clinic. Before I was a therapist, I was also a Family Coach working with families to identify and work towards their goals to have better housing and financial stability. I also worked as a support Coordinator with a nonprofit that provides case management navigation to unhoused individuals and unhoused veterans.

Outside the Therapy Room

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and doing some form of self care that involves filling my own cup up. I also enjoy watching several reality tv shows and  watching college football on Saturdays when it’s in season.

Why I Do This Work

I do this work because I believe everyone needs someone to just listen to them with no judgement. Life can be really hard and in those moments, it’s sometimes challenging to see the light at the end of the tunnel and find solutions and tools to help ourselves. Therapy offers a safe space to process and learn new tools to be able to start working on your desired goals and feel hopeful again.

What I Believe About Therapy

  • You deserve a safe, nonjudgmental space to be truly understood.
  • Lasting change comes from both practical tools and real emotional support.
  • If it feels challenging, you’re probably doing something right.
